The square in downtown Bryan is absolutely magical during the holidays. Festive lights, family-friendly events and a European-style outdoor market make Bryan, Ohio, a must-visit location during Christmastime.

The annual Santa Arrival Parade is set for Friday, November 25, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. The parade winds around the square, culminating with Santa himself giving the signal to turn on the downtown lights, setting a festive tone for the season.

The Christkindl Market opens before the parade and runs from 4-8 p.m. on November 25 & 26 and December 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 & 17. Chalets dot the courthouse lawn and feature a variety of vendors offering everything from handmade woodworks to delectable treats. This year’s vendors include Bonnie’s Christmas Cottage, Usborne Books, Spangler Candy Cane Cottage, Chalk Couture, Dick’s Woodworks, ElliAnn’s Seasonal Chalet, Nutcracker Suite, Holly Jolly Christmas Shop, KC Potts, Anthony & Co., Beads, Baubles & Pretty Things and Kathleen’s Kitchen.

In addition to shopping, the Christkindl Market has assorted entertainment scheduled. Enjoy reindeer games with the family, see the lights from a horse-drawn wagon, listen to live music and carolers, and see world-class ice carvers demonstrate their craft. Check out our calendar for a complete listing of market activities and entertainment.

Of course, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without St. Nick! Thankfully, Santa sets aside plenty of time in Bryan to meet with kids and adults alike. Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce keeps everyone updated on when Santa will be in his house on the square. Santa visits are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are no charge.
